Death. 1046, (no place found). Buried (no information found). According to Cardinal Pietro Damiano, O.S.B.Cam., in his "Vita S. Odilonis", Cardinal Pietro had seen, before his death, the soul of Pope Benedict IX in the flames of Purgatory.
