(1) The name of the monastery is also listed as Ss. Bonifazio ed Alessio al'Aventino.
(2) This is according to "Essai de liste générale des cardinaux. Les cardinaux du XIè siècle". Annuaire Pontifical Catholique 1927, p. 147, no. 13; and Gams, Series episcoporum Ecclesiae catholicae, p. 682, which also says that he occupied the see until 1083. Cardella, Memorie storiche de' cardinali della Santa Romana Chiesa, I, pt. 1, 175; and Chacón, Vitæ, et res gestæ Pontificvm Romanorum et S. R. E. Cardinalivm, I, col. 866, say that he was named bishop of Cesena in 1083.
(3) This is according to Cardella, Memorie storiche de' cardinali della Santa Romana Chiesa, I, pt. 1, 176; and Mas Latrie, Trésor de chronologie d'histoire et de géographie, col. 1180, no. 8. "Essai de liste générale des cardinaux. Les cardinaux du XIè siècle". Annuaire Pontifical Catholique 1927, p. 147, no. 13, says that he was created cardinal ca. 1083. Ganzer, Die entwicklung des auswärtigen kardinalats im hohen mittelater ; ein beitrag zur geschichte des kardinalkollegiums vom 11. bis 13. jahrhundert, p. 37, no. 8, indicates that he is considered a cardinal by several printed sources (Obermayer-Marnach, Annales Camaldulenses, Ughelli and Manzoni) and adds that in all documentary certifications, Gebizo is not called a cardinal anywhere. Since it was also at this time that bishops were not appointed cardinals after having received the episcopal consecration, and he was bishop of Cesena, then it can probably be said with certainty that Gebizo was not a cardinal of the Roman Church.
