Birth. (No date found), France. He is also listed as Milo; as Millon; as Milone; as Miles; and as Milianus. He is also known as Milone Cardinalis S Albini.
Education. Entered the monastery of Saint-Aubin, Angers, France.
Priesthood. Ordained (no further information found). He was part of a delegation of his monastery, which met Pope Urban II on November 18, 1092, Calabria. Pope Urban II attended the Council of Clermont in 1095; a contemporary document says that the pontiff adductus a Milone, antea Beati Albini monacho, tunc temporis legato suo (he made Milone, formerly a monk of Saint-Aubin, his legate); the monk was from then on at the service of the papacy and did not live in his monastery anymore.
Cardinalate. Created cardinal bishop of Palestrina in the consistory celebrated on August 24, 1098. Consecrated (no information found). Participated in the papal election of 1099, in which Pope Paschal II was elected. Attended the Council of Reims. Subscribed papal bulls issued between August 30, 1100 and May 4, 1102. He was with the pope in Rome on March 23, 1100; on August 30, with the papal court in Salerno; on October 15 in Melfi; on November 10 in Montecassino; on November 14 and 15 in Anagni; and on November 19 and 20, back in Rome, in the Lateran palace. In April 1101, he went with the papal court to Venosa; and in October 1101, to Benevento. He was back in Rome, at the Lateran palace from February 14 until March 21, 1102. At this time, he composed his Vita Operaque. Laus Metrica on Pope Paschal II. In that year, he was named legate in France; he traveled to Cluny, Mazille-en-Maconnais, and Angers; in Marcigny he was surprised by death.
Death. 1104 (1), Marcigny. Buried in the monastery of his order in Marcigny. In an Elogium, he was praised for his fight against simony.

Cardella, Memorie storiche de' cardinali della Santa Romana Chiesa, I, pt. 1, 185, says that he died in 1105. Chacón, Vitæ, et res gestæ Pontificvm Romanorum et S. R. E. Cardinalivm, I, col. 887; and his biography, linked above, say that he died in 1112. Cristofori, Cronotasi dei cardinali di Santa Romana Chiesa, p. 19, says that he died in 1101.
