Participated in the papal election of 1118, in which Pope Gelasius II was elected. Cardinal primoprete after 1120. Subscribed papal bulls issued between January 3, 1121 and June 4, 1122. Participated in the papal election of 1124, in which Pope Honorius II was elected. Subscribed papal bulls issued between May 4, 1125 and May 7, 1128. Participated in the February 14, 1130 election (taking place in his titular church) of Antipope Anacletus II, and joined that antipope's obedience. He died shortly after because the title was occupied by Cardinal Pietro created by Pope Innocent II.

Subscribed papal bulls issued between September 24, 1120 and January 7, 1121. He succeeded persuading Count Rainolfo to return the complete possession of its assets to the monastery of Monte Cassino. Participated in the papal election of 1124, in which Pope Honorius II was elected.
