(1) This is according to "Essai de liste générale des cardinaux. Les cardinaux du XIIè siècle". Annuaire Pontifical Catholique 1928, p. 146; Cardella, Memorie storiche de' cardinali della Santa Romana Chiesa, I, pt. 2, 96; and Chacón, Vitæ, et res gestæ Pontificvm Romanorum et S. R. E. Note. "Essai de liste générale des cardinaux. Les cardinaux du XIIè siècle". Annuaire Pontifical Catholique 1928, p. 146, lists a Cardinal Vibiano, created in 1175 deacon of S. Nicola in Carcere Tulliano, dead ca. 1178, indicating that it may be a confusion with the Cardinal Vibiano mentioned above as the first creation of this consistory.
