Birth. (No date found), Prato, diocese of Pistoia. Nephew of Cardinal Niccolò Alberti, O.P. (1303). His last name is also listed as Martini; as Albertini; and as Aubertini.

Education. (No information found).

Sacred orders. Canon of the chapters of Pisa, Verona, Soissons, St. Gery de Cambrai and S. Stefano di Prato. He had received the minor orders when promoted to the episcopate and had not yet reached the canonical age.

Episcopate. Elected bishop of Castello, June 19, 1311. Consecrated in 1319, by his uncle the cardinal. Partisan of Emperor Ludwig von Bavaria, enemy of Pope John XXII.

Cardinalate. Created pseudocardinal bishop of Ostia e Velletri in the consistory of May 15, 1328. He crowned Antipope Nicholas V. He was excommunicated by Pope John XXII. He went to Germany in 1329 and continued to call himself bishop of Ostia and papal legate. Resided in Münich, Bavaria, where he died.

Death. After 1335, MÇnich. Buried (no information found).

Early life. Abbot of Fulda (2). He went to Rome with Emperor Ludwig von Bavaria. He read in the patriarchal Vatican basilica the imperial act deposing Pope John XXII.

Cardinalate. Created pseudocardinal bishop of Albano in the consistory of May 15, 1328. He was excommunicated by Pope John XXII.

Death. Before September 2, 1328. Buried (no information found).
