Birth. (No date found), Rome. Son of Ugo Pierleoni, who was the son of Pietro Leoni. Nephew of Antipope Anacletus II. Uncle of Cardinal Ugo Pierleoni, Can. Reg. of St. Victor (1171).

Education. (No information found).

Episcopate. Elected bishop of Piacenza at the beginning of 1155; on January 9, 1155, Pope Adrian IV wrote to the clergy and people of the diocese announcing the election of the new bishop; he entered his diocese on May 1, 1155; he retained the see until his death (1). Consecrated by Pope Adrian IV at the beginning of 1155. He remained loyal to Pope Alexander III when the schism of 1159 erupted with the election of Antipope Victor IV in spite of the pressure exercised by the imperial faction, for which he had to abandon his diocese. He then joined the Canons Regular of Saint-Victor of Paris.

Cardinalate. Created cardinal bishop of Frascati in the consistory of 1164 (2). Subscribed papal bulls issued between March 18, 1166 and April 8, 1167.

Death. April 30, 1167 (3), Rome. Buried (no information found).
