Cardinalate. Created cardinal priest of S. Croce in Gerusalemme in the consistory of September 22, 1178 (1). Subscribed papal bulls issued between October 1, 1178 and August 15, 1181; and November 5, 1181 and January 8, 1183. Participated in the papal election of 1181, in which Pope Lucius III was elected. He wrote the work De Deo immortali.

Mariae in Via Lata on July 4, 1178 and on September 6, 1178 became cardinal priest of S. Croce in Gerusalemme.

Participated in the papal election of 1181, in which Pope Lucius III was elected. Legate in Constantinople before the Greek schismatics; impeded in his mission, he returned to Rome; as a result of ill-treatment received, he soon died.

Beatification. He is called blessed and a martyr by Ludovicus Donius D'Attichy in his work Flores Historiæ Sacri Collegii S. R. E.
