Episcopate. Elected bishop of Viterbo e Toscanella in 1188; resigned the see in 1199. Consecrated (no information found).

Cardinalate. Created cardinal priest of S. Clemente in the consistory of May 1189. Subscribed papal bulls issued between June 6, 1189 and February 17, 1191; May 9, 1191 and May 4, 1197; and March 13, 1198 and April 5, 1199. Participated in the papal election of 1191, in which Pope Celestine III was elected. He attended the canonization of Giovanni Gualberto on October 1, 1193. Erected the cathedral of S. Lorenzo in Viterbo in 1192. Participated in the papal election of 1198, in which Pope Innocent III was elected. On December 1, 1198, he received the pope, who went to Viterbo to consecrate the church of S. Marco. Opted for the order of cardinal bishops and the suburbicarian see of Frascati in 1199. Subscribed papal bulls issued between April 5, 1199 and August 11, 1210.
