(1) "Essai de liste générale des cardinaux. Les cardinaux du XIIIè siècle". Annuaire Pontifical Catholique 1929, p. 113, indicates that he is not listed by Eubel, Hierarchia Catholica Medii Aevi, unless Eubel confuses him with Cardinal Pietro Campano, O.S.B.Cas. (1216), who is listed by the latter on p. 5; also, it is possible that Chacón, Vitæ, et res gestæ Pontificvm Romanorum et S. R. E. Cardinalivm, I, col. 39, confuses him with Cardinal Campano too.

(1) Eubel, Hierarchia Catholica Medii Aevi, I, 5, note, says that his promotion to the cardinalate is doubtful because he did not sign any papal bulls. This fact, the absence of a known title, and his non-participation in the conclave of 1216, put into question his cardinalate; besides, his legation does not necessarily mean that he was a cardinal.
